“Arts in times of exception” is the theme of the Arte-Papo of the Ema Klabin House Museum

Online meeting brings together contemporary artists in a relaxed chat

The next day 23 September, from 5 pm to 6 pm, the Ema Klabin House Museum promotes another edition of the Arte-Papo series "Arts in times of exception" which will be streamed live on your YouTube channel.. Artists and researchers Katia Salvany and Renan Cevales participate in this edition, that address the language of performance.

According to the coordinator of visual arts at Casa Museu Ema Klabin, Rene Foch, the artists will discuss how to work performance as a practical language of expression in times of physical distance and whether this context made it impossible to carry out the performance works.

The Arte-Papo series has been running since 2011 and has had more than sixty editions. The series has cultural support from the Government of the State of São Paulo, through the ProAC ICMS of the Department of Culture and Creative Economy, and sponsorship of Klabin S.A..

The artist and researcher Renan Marcondes (OMA Gallery) holds a PhD in Performing Arts (ECA/USP), com passagem pela Justus Liebig University of Giessen. He has received several awards and is the author of works in the collections of the Museum of Art in Rio (RJ), at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ribeirão Preto (SP), at the Pinacoteca of São Bernardo do Campo (SP) and in the city of Santo André (SP).

Katia Salvany (Galeria Kogan Amaro) is Master and Doctor of Arts (ECA/USP), professor at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo since 2004, CAPES researcher (2014) in the postgraduate program at RCA - Royal College of Art, London. Acts as an advisor of artistic projects for more than 15 years, taught courses, workshops, lectures and participated in curators, judging committees, organization of cultural events and exhibitions in Brazil and abroad.

The Ema Klabin House Museum houses a valuable collection of more than 1.500 parts, including paintings by Russian Marc Chagall and Dutch Frans Post, Valentine Master Miner hoists, furniture, archaeological pieces and decorative arts.
