The project LEANDRO MACHADO - Path Archeology, who performed the national / international traffic in Rio de Janeiro / Brazil, La Rochelle / France and Montevideo / Uruguay, will close in Porto Alegre next month. Besides the opening of the exhibition of photographs and collected materials in the cities visited, on occasion occur distribution of the eponymous book project, with autograph session, Besides the presentation of a video prepared by Leandro Machado on the acquired experiences and knowledge during the project, carried out with resources from the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul through the Pro-Culture RS FAC – Support Fund for Culture #togetherspellacultura_2. The audiovisual is directed by the multimedia artist Bebeto Alves, responsible for track, editing and assembly.

The idea of ​​"Archeology Path” came from the wanderings of the artist in peripheral parts of the capital gaucho. "It seems that people of the city are only those that circulate by the Center, Lesser Town and Windmills. Porto Alegre is so broad, only, powerful! They are peripheral places, but - at the same time - other centers. I went to places unknown and only knew the name. I found another Porto Alegre, sometimes even more beautiful than we know ", says Leandro.

The original presentation of the project took place in 2016, Atelier in Jabutipê, at the time Fumproarte funded by the Municipal Department of Culture of Porto Alegre. At the opening of the first exhibition in the capital of the gauchos, It was also launched the publication with articles from experts in the field (Iosvaldyr Bittencourt, Stephen Haeser, Michele Zgiet and Carla Magalhães), text on the artistic production of the author, reports of cartographic and sensitive experience the city and photographic records of the process by Paulo Correa.

The exhibition “Archeology Path” It is on display in the MAC-RS until the day 22 September, with free entry. The exposed images reveal a different Porto Alegre, descontruída authentic and by the look of the visual artist, who along with Paul Correa Photographer, toured several neighborhoods registering buildings, landscapes, everyday situations and people who live in these regions. Some records and materials collected in cities which conducted the National / International Movement were also included in the installation to complete the experience of viewers.
