The Alliance Française of Rio de Janeiro features on Saturday, 22 August, at 8:0 pm, the jazz concert "Greg Lamy Quartet, in the Sala Cecília Meireles. The event is part of the commemorative programming of 130 years of the French Alliance in Brazil. Tickets are on sale on the site www.ingresso.com and the box office of the sala Cecília Meireles.
The prestigious guitarist Greg Lamy already was present at numerous clubs and festivals in Europe and the United States – 55 Bar, in Greenwich Village, Knitting Factory, Winter Jazz Festival. Frequently invited to participate in training, created in parallel with your group, with musicians he knew many years ago, among others, drummer Jean-Marc Robin and bassist Laurent Gautier. Greg Lamy was born in New Orleans, He studied at Berklee and works between Luxembourg and Paris.
With the same training provided 2007, the Quartet recorded two albums: "I see you" (2009) and "Meeting" (2013), signed by the record label, Igloo Records. The French Alliance celebrates 130 years of activities in Brazil 2015.
