In October the French Alliance Rio de Janeiro, offers 17 dynamic courses and workshops, with promotional values. The classes, starting on the day 13 October have options that go from Monday to Friday, live and teachers in virtual rooms, through the Zoom platform. Offers vary between courses for beginners, DELF A2 exam preparation courses, B1 e B2, DALF C1 and TCF or Grammar Workshops, Phonetics, Movies and Songs.
The beginner classes offered by AF-Rio are on different days and times, always between Monday and Friday, with hours of 5 hours per week. The novelty of this course is that students will have 45 classroom hours and more 5 hours of autonomy for your studies. This format was possible due to the new method Défi, that has a digital support and that allows the student to develop much more adapted to today.
For those taking the official DELF French proficiency exams, DALF or TCF, AF-Rio launches the preparatory workshops for DELF A2 exams, B1 e B2, DALF C1 e TCF. The French Alliance is the only certifier approved by the French Ministry of Education for the application of these exams and tests. As between the months of March and September the exams had been stopped, there are currently a lot of people who wish to do so, already thinking about mobility programs for 2021. These preparations are at great prices, which is an incentive for candidates to register and be well trained on the date of the next exam, which will be in November 2020.
The Grammar Workshops, Phonetics, Cinema and songs are also a great way for those who want to keep French up to date, but do not want to attend regular classes. Each studio has a different level of knowledge of the language that is required.
Also in October, AF Rio offers the “It's okay!”, that in Portuguese, can be translated as “okay!”! A great opportunity for those who want to get in touch with the language without leaving home and with the excellence of the French Alliance.
The "It's okay!”Are online classes, French tasting, with 50 minutes long, aimed at people who have never had contact with the language and want to discover how it can be “nice” to learn the official language diplomacy.
For this tasting, students must register on the website: rioaliancafrancesa.com.br/ateliecava. The same person may participate in, tops, until 1 session and are 20 students per class. Classes start from the day 05 October and are available until the end of the month. Students will learn how to perform, how to greet and other activities that show that French, besides being very beautiful, it is also an easy language for us to learn.
Throughout October, AF-Rio will also offer other free activities with different themes, so that the public can choose according to their language level and train French at home.
All these activities have the mission to show the dynamics and technology of AF-Rio's classes and provide a special contact with the French language and culture. About the Défi method
After extensive analysis, the pedagogical sector of AF opted for the international method that had the most current tools for learning a new language: o Challenge. International method, 100% in French, Défi was adapted exclusively for the Alliance Française Brésil chain. As it is quite current, it has several learning tools that make classes more interactive and facilitate the development of oral production and grammatical knowledge. Diversity is one of the strengths of the new method and French-speaking culture and societies are used as a raw material for language learning, transforming the classroom into a globalized environment, since, French is spoken on five continents.
Défi has reading strategies, listening and writing that allow students to naturally develop their French skills. Phonetic exercises favor oral development, more interactive classes encourage, further, French conversation and grammar is taught intuitively, raising a natural reflection on the grammatical points addressed.
Because of the epidemiological emergency that Brazil and much of the world live in this moment, Aliança Francesa Rio de Janeiro classes will continue with the same organization of students and teachers in digital classrooms, until the date it is released the quarantine pandemic. The reports have been very positive and this was only possible because support was set up to support students, with the secretariats of the AF, also digitally work will be shown and pedagogy team supporting teachers.
The courses have the same composition of students and teacher, Virtual classrooms. The educational content is maintained, because as the AF-Rio uses in their digital pictures classrooms, switching between BITs (abbreviation for digital pictures, in French) for computer screens went quiet way, since the content was already scanned. This was the way that French culture association considered it the most correct for the weekly fellowship and relationship among the members of the group were maintained.
The book "Adomania”Contains digital tools that support the method and facilitate learning:
- Digital book in the room, for a more dynamic class: students have access to the interactive whiteboard to perform activities.
- Digital parcours for the student: platform with 120 interactive and self-corrective activities.
- The student's book contains a DVDROM with all audios and videos.
With this new method, offered to students in virtual classrooms, the pedagogical approach to teaching french is focused on action and realization of projects, that take the French language to the students' reality. Students learn to work in collaboration and cooperation, which allows for efficient learning and makes them feel part of the group and actors of their own learning.
About the Alliance Française
Completing 135 years of activities in Brazil, the French Alliance is a reference in the language and, no doubt, the best-known institution in the world, when it comes to the spread of the French language and Francophone cultures. Amongst them, the change in teaching method, that will bring greater dynamism to the classrooms, with digital tools and current content on all French-speaking culture, transforming lessons into real centers of debate of ideas and collaborative learning.
