Alliance Française carries out its first "Rotation of storytellers" in the North and South of the city

Storytelling event promotes exchange between the inheritance of culture
Brazilian black, Francophone and lusophone. The presentations are free and will be
carried out at branches of Botafogo and da Tijuca

Onthe days 16, 17, 18 and 19 November, prefacing the celebrations of the day of black consciousness, the Alliance Française of Rio de Janeiro holds the event "Caster of storytellers", in French "Rodéo des Conteurs", promoting the exchange between Brazilian black culture heritages, with the francophone speaking through the languages. The event is part of the commemorative programming of 130 years of presence of the institution in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. Admission is free and the shows happen to 7:00 pm and will last for approximately two hours.

Throughout the week there will be concurrent presentations in the Auditorium of the Alliance Française in Botafogo and on Tijuca, with a French-speaking counter and a Brazilian, in order to build bridges between cultures. The schedule has seven counters: Brazilians Victor Ribeiro and Ilana Pogrebinschi; the French François Lamaitre and Muriel Bloch; argentina Mónica Chiesa; and the Africans Dorient Kaly, Kientega Pingdéwindé Gérard.

Between the counters of the day 16 are you Victor Ribeiro, that presents the show "from dust to the word", where the word and set the tone in five short stories, bringing together Brazil, France and Africa through a game between languages; and argentina Mónica Chiesa, with the short story "Itinerants", about paths, travels and adventures told by the artist in the Cadence of his voice by the stories of yesterday and today.

In the day 17, the Frenchman François Lamaitre presents "the words", a trip to the past and the grandfather's coffee mill, where the artist shares with the public stories of its origins, philosophical tales, to make you laugh, to cause fear or to reflect. On Wednesday, 18, Ilana Pogrebinschi narrates two stories and an African interspersed by traditional songs called "The three dresses, the three councils and the three children ".

The closure of the festival on the day 19 will be held exclusively at the Alliance Française Auditorium Tijuca and have the special presence of the musician Manu Dibango, elected Great Witness of la Francophonie at the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in Rio 2016 where the French language is the first official language of the world's biggest event.

On this day 19, Dorient Kaly, comedian, puppeteer and administrator of RIAPL festival (Itinerant meetings of the arts of Word and language), of Congo, will present the short story "qu'est-ce qu'on raconte chez vous?”, a beautiful account of the oral tradition of his region and as the stories ' that fall from the sky in the form of rain ' are taken around the world through the counters.

Kientega Already Pingdéwindé Gérard, known as KPG, an artist, comedian and storyteller born in Burkina Faso, features stories taken from their ancestral heritages and peasant. KPG interweaves stories, narratives, Proverbs, songs and chants to share a vision of Africa lucid and proud. The French Muriel Bloch storyteller will offer an encounter with great complicity with the audience and also large part of improvisation with tales about North Africa, Haiti, France and Angola.

"Rodéo des Conteurs" is carried out with the support of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF-Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie) along with the great Witness of la Francophonie at the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Rio 2016 ".
