Returning the stories about artists, I was pleased to discover, through my social networks, a talented artist in Baron city of Groves / MG, hitherto unknown. When I saw the photos of his works, I was delighted and very happy to have met her and be able to disseminate their work.

Adriana Ferreira in their very colorful works, follows his artistic instincts. His works are basically abstract what may confer the pictures of this matter and their profiles on social networks.

“Abstract art is the manifestation representing forms and content, unrelated to any figurative representation and that transcends the outward appearances of reality.”

I'm absolutely sure that we will soon see their work, in exhibitions and art galleries in Brazil and abroad.

I did an interview with Adriana to know her better. And your job.

Adriana Ferreira é Artista Plástica.
Adriana Ferreira is Plastic Artist.

Where did you born? And what is your academic training?

Born in Three Marias / MG, northwest of Mines and raised mostly in João Monlevade / MG and currently live in Barão de Cocais / MG.

I have no academic training.

How and when you give your first contact with the Arts?

Actually always enjoyed any kind of artistic expression (frames, drawings, etc..), However, when younger, abstract designs drew, but not yet painted. So, painting came later in my life, more precisely after my 40 years, I spent, namely, really my artistic gift.

How did you find this gift?

I discovered through an analysis of a graphologist (reading specialist letters). This professional to analyze my spelling realized that I had a natural facility for fine arts, and he specified that it was possibly the modern art, which love. Thus, on this information, I bought my materials and began to simply paint, no teaching or course for both, quite the opposite, the graphologist said I was ready to paint right now. Until then, I keep painting and following my artistic instincts.

What are your main influences?

My influence is all, nature, human being, stuff, feelings etc., all that is.

What materials do you use in your works?

Acrylic paint, Acrylic mass, straightener, spatula, coarse and fine brushes, sponges and sometimes oil paint.

What is your creative process itself? What inspires you?

My inspiration is completely intuitive, that is, when I paint I'm actually expressing feelings and inner sensations, logo painting is a way to put them afloat, since my work is entirely connected to my soul.

When you started effectively to produce or create your works?

The screens were painted in early December 2016.

Art is an intellectual production exquisite, where emotions are embedded in the context of creation, but in art history, we see that many artists are derived from other, following technical and artistic movements through time, you own any model or influence of any artist? Who would be?

Basically the artist Jonas Gerard inspired me enough, because his work is totally abstract and free of rules, once his art brings a modern movement, futuristic and has creativity beyond the limits of normal.

What does art mean to you? If you were to summarize in a few words the meaning of Arts in your life…

Art today is my life, my release and my main source of strength and peace.

What techniques do you use to express their ideas, feelings and perceptions about the world? (Whether it is through painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, photography… or uses several techniques in order to make a mix of different art forms).

My art is linked only painting itself.

Every artist has his mentor, that person whom you mirrored that encouraged and inspired you to follow this career you, going ahead and taking your dreams the other expression levels, who this person is and how it introduced you in the art world?

Do not cling to external incentives, My strength comes from myself, because if value-is the basis of any choice in our life.

You have another activity beyond art? You give lessons, lectures etc.?

I am a public servant, in charge of nursing technique.

Its major national and international exhibitions and their awards?

I have not had the opportunity to exhibit or be awarded, only expose my works on social networks, even now I am moderating closed groups of abstract art, I think the internet is one of the most dynamic and fastest ways to display ideas and works.

Your plans for the future?

My plans boil down to grow more and more in the area of Fine Arts, it is what I like best.

In your opinion what is the future of Brazilian art and its artists? (in the general context) and why so many artists are giving preference to show their work in international exhibitions despite high costs?

Art in Brazil is not yet rooted in culture, that is, despite being present in history, It is not yet seen as essential and indispensable to enjoy, as in foreign countries art is quite cultish.

I have noticed that some traditional galleries are closing activities. Artists are giving preference to exhibit at Cultural Spaces. In your opinion what would be the cause?

This is a very subjective matter, but I think this might be happening due to the greater freedom that lies in cultural spaces, because the art in its essence is free from prejudice and rules, being that, the more natural, most beautiful and eternal will.
