A very special weekend where, three days, six unmissable shows will be presented, with a lot of quality and covering several genres such as: jazz, soul, samba funk, Blues & fusion. This is the third edition of Campos Jazz Fest that will happen in the online format, through lives made available free of charge on the festival's YouTube channel: bit.ly/camposjazzfest.

The festival opens on Friday, 23/04, starting with a musical chat between Herbert Lucas and Marcinho Eiras. Herbert Lucas is curator of several festivals, like Ilhabela Bossa & Cry, Bourbon Festival Paraty, Brazil Guitars, Summer at Cunha Fest Mountain, among others, in addition to artistic director, more than 25 years, the renowned Bourbon Street Music Club. Marcinho Eiras, considered one of the greatest guitarists of his generation who, in addition to his talent and virtuosity, is known to have developed an unconventional technique, the “Two Handed Tapping”, similar to a piano, being able to play with two guitars simultaneously.

The singer Izzy Gordon, invited by Orleans Street Jazz Band, and the pioneer band of Brazilian soul, nationally and internationally recognized, Black Rio Band, open the first night of the festival. Izzy Gordon, with your beautiful voice, influenced in your career, by Ella Fitzgerald, Elza Soares, Dolores Duran, Elis Regina, Whitney Houston, among others, included in the repertoire jewels like All of Me, Girl from Ipanema and Hello Dolly. The Orleans Street Jazz Band with his irreverent style and unusual training, inspired by New Orlean street bands,, consists of saxophone, trumpet, trombone, Tuba, banjo / guitar and washboard / drums, shows its versatility “street” and “stage”, with happy and contagious repertoire and performance, with songs like Indiana, Thanks thanks, Cantaloup, Bourbon Street Parade. And to close the first night, to band Black Rio Band, a sound plant, unprecedented, that not only revolutionized Brazilian instrumental music, but also artists from all over the planet. In the repertoire of this living memory, the fusion of national rhythms with American jazz and soul that began on the debut album Maria Fumaça (1977).

On Saturday, Leo Gandelman, saxophonist, flutist, arranger and music producer, who has played and recorded with great names in Brazilian music, there is no need for introductions and a very special guest, Baby Salvego, that since 11 years stands out for the beautiful voice and distinctive timbre, combining classical jazz and contemporary soul. For this early evening the repertoire brings Solar, Unknown Society, Cuba Libre e All About The Bass. The second show of the night brings the band Ultra Soul, with his fantastic vocal quartet and classics from soul music and funk, that were successes in the voice of Marvin Gaye, Chaka Khan, Tim Maia, Earth Wind & Fire, rekindling all nostalgia of the times of baile black charm com hits como Let’s Get It On, Morning e Superstition. After all it's Saturday and there's nothing better than ending the week dancing!

On the last day of the festival, Sunday, or showman Tony Gordon, winner of The Voice Brasil 2019, presents jazz reinterpretations of established songs, that include Come Together, Sunshine Of Your Love, Easy and You. To finish, after touring a selection of jazz and soul, the best way to end with a golden key is through the good, unusual and visceral blues with the band Blues Beatles, internationally known for honoring the Beatles in blues, interpreting hits like Ticket to Ride, A Hard Day’s Night, Help e Love me Do.
