Directed by Editora Artrilha and in partnership with Instituto Virgínia and Vilanova Artigas, registration for the 1st National Salon of Visual Arts Virgínia Artigas is open, developed and presented in a virtual environment.

The purpose of the Salon is to promote, encourage and disseminate the production of artistic and cultural expressions, related to digital art categories, animation, collage, drawing, sculpture, photography, engraving, GIF art, installation, mixed media, three-dimensional object, performance, painting, tapestry, video art and video mapping of Brazilian artists.

Native or naturalized Brazilian artists and foreigners resident in the country can participate and each artist is entitled to submit up to one work in only one of the categories.

The 1º Virgínia Artigas National Visual Arts Salon it also has a permanent exhibition “Virginia Artigas, for a dash of justice”. The exhibit presents an overview of the collection of the renowned artist from the state of São Paulo. Among the paintings on display, are the “Portrait of Aldo Bonadei” by 1944 and the “Portrait of Rosa” by 1954.
