Closing the Arte em Diálogo project - In Quarantine, of the National Museum of Fine Arts / Ibram, This year, next friday, 18 of december, at 4:00 pm, video of one of the most important Brazilian artists will be released: Annabella Geiger. The exhibition takes place at 4 pm, on MNBA social networks: Facebook – MNBARio and Instagram – @mnbario.
No video, the artist narrates details of her innovative creative process, and also designs future plans, including holding exhibitions outside Brazil, usual route throughout his robust career.
Annabella Geiger was one of the precursors of abstract art in Brazil and her experimental work makes use of different media, focusing on politics and social reality, among others, always with a critical bias.
Label, painter, designer, multimedia artist, and teacher, Annabella Geiger, born in 1933, began his studies with the label Fayga Ostrower, in the years 1950. Seeking improvement abroad, studied art history in New York. In the 1960, attended the MAM-RJ metal engraving studio, where she was later a teacher; today he teaches at EAV / Parque Lage.
