“Nonsense”, individual exhibition of Gilberto Salvador at Pinacoteca Benedicto Calixto, had its closure extended, and will remain open to visitation until Sunday, 25 July.

opened in 6 of last May, the show marked the reopening of white house to the public, after long period closed due to worsening coronavirus pandemic.

Nonsense is the first individual of Gilberto Salvador since 2018, and signals 50 years of artist exhibitions. It brings together twenty unpublished works, all of them very recent production. They were created by Gilberto Salvador in a studio he set up in his house, amid the unusual and emotional climate of the Covid-19 pandemic. In these works, all in acrylic on wood, the artist reinterprets his work in the last few 50 years. “Being closed forces us to introspect”, says.
