House Museum Ema Klabin celebrates Cordel Literature in the 13th Spring of Museums

There will be a fair Cordel Literature, workshop on the topic, plus storytelling, poetic performance, Release cord, soiree and musical and dance shows. All with free admission!

For the 13th spring Museums, the House Museum Ema Klabin, in Jardim Europa, in São Paulo, promotes a series of activities on the Cordel Literature. From 25 to 29 September, from 14h to 18h, there will be a Fair in Cordell c Literatureom the presence of the authors Edimaria, Luciano Braga, Tin Tin Alves, John Group Sá Gomes SP Cordel and Dani Almeida.

On 28/09 (Saturday), from 14h to 17h, the cordelista Dani Almeida minister the workshop Ways of Cordel. On Sunday, 29/09, às 14h, there will be a storytelling with music and poetic performance. 15h, Poetic Sarau one with open microphone for public participation that can read or experience the art of creating a string. And the 16 hours two animated musicals and dance shows.

During the program there will be the launch of a Cordel honoring Collectionneuse Ema Klabin. The public can purchase twine, as well as postcards and reproductions of a woodcut artist João Gomes de Sá. The artist will also be present to talk informally about this ancient art.

Literature of twine:

The Cordel literature was recognized and listed by IPHAN, in 2018, as cultural and intangible heritage of Brazil. The public gesture changed the reading mode of flyers culture of northeastern Brazil and reaffirmed its important role in the formation of identity and plurality of culture São Paulo.

The Museum is a cultural spring season coordinated by the Brazilian Institute of Museums (IBRAM) which takes place every year at the beginning of the homonymous station. The aim is to promote, disseminating and exploiting Brazilian museums and extend the visitors. The national event season takes place this year between days 23 to 29 September.
