The Portuguese writer Adélio Amaro has received, recently, a Motion of Honor of Merit from the Lucentina Academy of Philosophy and Humanities, based in Brazil, "for the relevant services provided in the area of culture and bringing people together, namely in the connection between Portuguese-speaking countries, with special focus on Brazil and Portugal".
This entity is known for giving notoriety to essential human values in cultural and other fields of knowledge.. Adélio Amaro is president of the Heritage Center of Extremadura, acting director of Gazeta Lusófona (Switzerland), editorial coordinator of the Portugal Mag publishing house, in Paris, scientific consultant for Popular Culture at the Leiria City Council and coordinator of the Leiria Municipal Agromuseum program.

The delivery ceremony will take place in due course., in Rio de Janeiro, as soon as the pandemic situation allows for safer international travel. Adélio Amaro has collaborated with Portuguese-speaking communities all over the world, with emphasis on Brazil, in which, at the end of 2019, was present in Florianópolis to take office at the Historical and Geographical Institute of Santa Catarina, centenary institution.
