The new program aims to highlight and activate, in this way, central concepts of the Sea project, such as the democratization of art system, the transformation of the Museum in an instrument of social integration and development, education and transformation of the subject through art.
The exhibition assembles works of Waltercio Caldas, Sérgio Sister, Carla Guagliardi and Cildo Meireles in crossing with a set of sculptures, photographs, drawings and paintings from the collection of the SEA, placing side by side contemporary works and archaeological objects, paintings and photographs.
Waltercio Caldas presents work that does the design and allows for almost endless mutation of forms. These forms-drawing interact with texts of rare beauty and complexity writings by the artist. Sérgio Sister show us a remarkable collection of paintings-object whose first issue is the color and your nature. Cildo Meireles presents a new version of your now classic Meshes of freedom, the version number 4, in which the public can build your own mesh and experience the mystery of a grid that, though surround and close, always allow a space of escape and freedom. Carla Guagliardi built a large sculptural installation that occupies the center of the space and acts as a bridge between the various works.
Brand exposure, yet, the incorporation of an important work by the SEA: a large sculpture of Amilcar de Castro (1920-2002), one of the greatest Brazilian sculptors of all time, made available to the Museum for your family.
