Artist Alessandra Mastrogiovanni goes to the Art Salon in Liechtenstein

Selected works by contemporary Brazilian artists show the joy of living and the importance of playing football in Brazil

From 17 from June to 2 July, the artist, Alessandra Mastrogiovanni, takes his work “Cosmic Game”, on 8º Art Salon in Liechtenstein.

The event gathers 56 Brazilian artists, during an event held at the Gasometer Cultural Center Museum, in Trieste.

Alessandra Mastrogiovanni is a contemporary Brazilian artist. Brazilian diplomat's daughter, she was born in 1967, in New York City, in the United States.

He stayed for two years in Cairo and at the age of four he came to Brazil. In 1987 joined FAAP to study visual arts, in São Paulo. He visited several states in the country and traveled around the world.

Since 2022 lives in Boicucanga, north coast of São Paulo, where he believes to be a special place for the moment he is living.

She says that the connection with nature has been fundamental to her happiness and a source of inspiration for her art..

“Here I am connected to the essential, the source of inexhaustible beauty. Between the forest and the sea I found my place. Some say I isolated myself and went crazy, but it was here where I received the invitation to participate in the 8 th salon in Liechtenstein and I was selected”, declares Alessandra.

The selected work, cosmic game, raises the issue of spirituality. The circle represents sacred geometry, the shapes and colors have effects that go far beyond what is imagined. Pelé representing Brazilian football in his art, Alessandra seeks to show how much he is an evolved being, the way he had awareness and mastery of his body.

“He was very focused, I created all the time and I see Pelé as a cosmic being. It was a bit this idea of ​​seeing him as an angel and an evolved spirit playing with all this information that we have from other dimensions. And through my art, painting,  colors, sacred geometry shapes and lines, the proposal is for whoever is looking, receive this healing benefit in an unobtrusive and subtle way”, reveals the artist.

Drawings, paintings, exploration of gourds and Brazilian seeds are the basis of the artist's work. Always inspired by Nature, his art questions the human body, women, plants and insects.

The Brazilian Art Salon in Liechtenstein takes place every year and is promoted by the Institution Casa Brasil Liechtenstein and its Honorary Consul Denise da Cruz.

Football and art themed, the 8th edition is curated by Bruno Portella & Petra Buechel. Intended for artists of Brazilian nationality, the Salão de Arte Brasileira in Liechtenstein has the mission of spreading the best of Brazilian Art in Europe.

The artist says she feels honored to exhibit her work alongside other important artists, some already established in the international market.

“Add value, recognition and opportunities. Representing my Brazil in Europe is a responsibility that I carry happily”, celebrates Alexandra.
